5 Simple Diet Tips

Diet fads are all the rage these days. There is a better way to make yourself healthier and cut down on your medical insurance. Changing how you eat can be very simple. You can even start slowly and work up to a full food consumption change. Here are a few things that you can easily do. You might even find this helpful when filling out that annual medical insurance renewal.

1. The cleansing goodness of water

Water composes the vast majority of your body. Just as the water on the sidewalk evaporates, you loose water as well. You need to keep your water reserves restocked.

Water might be boring, but it is the key to life. You can even spruce up that glass of water by cutting up a strawberry and putting it that tall glass of life. You might find you like this more than that can of fake cherry cola.

    2. Whole foods and you

Consuming a boatload of fruits and veggies are always highly suggested. You can take this idea further. Eating homemade breads, whole-wheat pastas, and homemade sweets can all be of a benefit to you.

Fruits and veggies might seem like it costs more at first. Give your body some time to adjust. You will find that your appetite will change and you are not as hungry. This is a by-product of your body getting all the nutrients it needs from smaller amounts of food.

      3. Put down that beer

Beer on a nice sunny day just feels good. You don’t have to cut all your alcohol consumption.  A beer here, or a glass of wine there is ok. Over indulgence can lead to some bad side effects.

The biggest side effect comes in the form of munchies. Most people get a killer case of the munchies after a few adult beverages. To make this situation worse, you just might consume everything in the house. You are free to enjoy that drink. Just do it with a bit of moderation. Your medical insurance will appreciate the fact that your liver is stress free as well!

        4. Breakfast is a go

You don’t like breakfast. That is ok. Grab a breakfast shake. Have some toast with peanut butter. Your body has had no fuel intake while you were sleeping. Just a bit of food on your way out the door will help keep that sexy body of yours from going into a starvation mode.

          5. Some fats are good for you

Some fats are actually healthy for you. Fats from a Big Mac, or that half-gallon of ice cream, will not make Santa’s nice list. Good fats come from raw nuts. The word raw should stick out like a sore thumb.

Salted, glazed, sugar coated, and other craziness just takes a healthy item and makes it un-healthy. Raw nuts such as almonds or sunflower seeds provide healthy fats and other nutrients to keep you smiling on a dull day.

You don’t have to go full bore here. Incorporate just one of these tips and see how it benefits for you.  You can slowly expand on this list over time. The biggest benefit will be proving to yourself that you can do this. Medical insurance companies will be happier with your improvements to boot!
